Supporting you to live well, your way.

Connecting you to care, support & community.

“We have mums and dads of our own. We understand that inviting someone into your home requires trust. We want to earn that trust every day by doing what we say we’ll do and treating every client the way we would want our own family to be treated.”

The founders of Coastal Connect

Domestic assistance, transport, home-cooked meals, social support, accompanied activities and home maintenance — the everyday help that lets older Australians stay independent in the home they love, delivered by a local team who turn up when they say they will.

Not sure whether you are eligible or what your funding covers? Call us — we will talk it through in plain English, with no obligation and no cost.

Working with your existing care provider

We work alongside your existing aged care provider to give you flexible, reliable support in your home and community. Your funding, assessment and care plan stay with your provider — we are the local team who does the work, screened, insured and accountable to the same standards.

Together, we help you stay independent and connected.

What we do

The everyday things that keep a home running

Practical, non-clinical support — the work that makes the biggest difference to independence and is hardest to arrange reliably.

A helper holds the car door as an older woman steps out for her appointment

Transport services

Safe, reliable transport to appointments, outings and community access, in clean and comfortable cars — with a hand at both ends of the trip.

Accompanied activities

Support to enjoy social, recreational and community activities — the club, the bowls, church, or a day out.

Social support

Companionship, social connection and emotional support. A regular visit, a cup of tea and a proper conversation.

Domestic assistance

Home cleaning, laundry and everyday household help — vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms, kitchens and linen changes, on a schedule you can count on.

A support worker chopping fresh vegetables for a home-cooked meal while an older man chats with her

Meal preparation

Shopping, and meals cooked fresh in your own kitchen the way you like them — including support with special diets.

A helper on a stepladder changing a smoke alarm battery in a hallway

Home maintenance & minor repairs

Minor home maintenance, small repairs and safety checks — gutters, lawns, hard-to-reach globes and smoke alarm batteries.

A support worker showing an older woman how to video-call her family on a tablet

Technical assistance

Help with technology, devices and everyday tasks — phones, tablets, the TV, video calls with the grandchildren.

What we do not do: we do not provide personal care (showering, dressing, toileting) or clinical nursing. If you need those, we will tell you honestly and help you find someone who does.

Getting started

How government-funded support works

Most people find this confusing, and that is not their fault. Here is the whole process, honestly, in four steps.

1

Get assessed

Contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or online. They arrange a free assessment, usually in your home, to work out what help you need.

2

Receive your funding

If you are eligible, the government approves a budget for your support. The funding follows you, not a particular company.

3

Choose your provider

You pick a registered provider to manage your funding and care plan. You can ask them to bring us in as your local service team.

4

We start work

We meet you at home, agree exactly what happens and when, and get going. Same faces each visit wherever we can manage it.

No funding, or don't want to wait? We also take private clients. You pay us directly, there is no assessment and no waiting list, and you can start straight away.

Who we are

Two passionate carers, with families of our own.

We decided to dedicate ourselves to helping older people with the challenges of everyday life — the jobs around the house, getting to appointments, staying connected with friends and community — so they can keep living well in the home they love.

We both live locally — the Tweed and the Gold Coast are home.

  • We turn up when we say

A booked visit is a promise. If something genuinely goes wrong, you get a phone call from a person, not a missed appointment.

  • The same familiar faces

We roster for continuity. You should not have to explain where the vacuum lives to a new person every fortnight.

  • Screened, insured, accountable

Every worker who enters your home is police-checked, insured, trained for the job, and bound by the Aged Care Code of Conduct.

  • Plain English, always

No jargon, no pressure, no surprise charges. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and point you somewhere better.

Common questions

Straight answers

Do I need government funding to use you?
No. If you have funding through a registered provider, we can work as part of your service team. If you do not have funding — or you would rather not wait for an assessment — you can engage us privately and pay directly.
Are you a registered aged care provider?
We are a service delivery business working in partnership with registered providers. Your funding, assessment and care plan are managed by your registered provider; we are the local team that carries out the work, under their program and to the same standards.
Do you help with showering and dressing?
No — we do not provide personal care or clinical nursing. We focus on domestic assistance, transport, meal preparation, social support, accompanied activities, home maintenance and technology help. If you need personal care, tell us and we will help you find a provider who does it well.
How much does it cost?

If you are funded, most or all of the cost is covered by your budget, depending on your assessed contribution. If you pay us directly, these are our prices:

Weekday visit, 30 minutesMonday to Friday, 6am–6pm$66
Weekday, per hourMonday to Friday, 6am–6pm$88
Weeknight, per hourMonday to Friday, 6pm–6am$99
Saturday, per hour$132
Sunday, per hour$165
Public holiday, per hour$198

Weekday visits can be as short as 30 minutes. Evenings, weekends and public holidays have a 1-hour minimum. Prices are the full amount you pay, including any GST. There are no joining fees and no lock-in contracts.

Can I choose who comes to my home?
Yes. We roster for continuity so you see the same people, and if someone is not the right fit for you, tell us and we will change it. No awkwardness, no explanation needed.
How quickly can you start?
For private clients, we can usually start straight away. If you are funded, it depends on how quickly your provider can add us to your plan — often about a week. Call us and we will give you a realistic date, not an optimistic one.
